We sat down with two mamas’s that we admire the most – Natalie Gee Robinson and Rachel Robinson to find out how these two powerhouse women juggle work, life and being parents to twin boy toddlers and a four-month-old baby girl.

Natalie Gee Robinson is co-founder of one of our go-to beauty emporiums Gee Beauty, Natalie believes in using beauty as a form of self expression. “Most people don’t wear the same designer every day, so it should be the same for their beauty routine. I love to show clients how to transform from the gym – yes, there are fitness-friendly faces – to work to nighttime. In addition to perfecting our signature Gee Beauty Brow, some of the tips i like to share are creating a quick and effective skin-care regimen, fresh and glowing skin, and a fun or dramatic eye look.”

Rachel’s approach to fitness is not only about changing the body, but really changing the way you feel inside. She focuses more on the internal feeling & sense of accomplishment – rather than on the body, even though that of course follows when people commit to a healthier lifestyle.

Find out how they multitask, find balance and make it all work even with a busy household.

Do you have any beauty shortcuts that mom’s need to know about? Everything for us must multitask, because sometimes we literally have 5 min each to get dressed and be ready! We love Dry Shampoo, a good Hydrating Mask that we can double as a night cream, and a really gentle body wash that we can use for us and the kids!

Everyone has that ritual that makes them feel confident and pulled together, what’s yours? Our bathroom is such a sanctuary, while small and cozy, it’s where we all take the best baths! Bath time for our kids is something we never miss, and so for us, taking a few moments to get in the bath really helps us feel refreshed. We love bath salts, and whether we have 5 or 15minutes, we make sure to allow one another to have these moments!

Do you have any first-time mom advice? We are with you! Half the time as a new mom, you are winging it, so stick to your instinct even when you think you don’t know, you do. We really found talking to other moms is always so helpful.

What beauty product can you not live without? Goldfaden Bright Eyes! Talk about a product that gives your skin so much hydration and de puffs at the same time is a win for us!

How do you find balance? Balance is really about taking any moments you have to yourself and enjoying the time to value it.

How do you de-stress? We talk a lot to each other and how we communicate means everything for our peace of mind. By talking through our stressful moments, and taking the time to listen, we have found is the key to really de stressing. Also a glass of wine and a hot bath, can certainly solve a lot too!

Screen Shot 2013-09-06 at 12.42.47 PMAging is a slow sidling shadow that descends without the least bit of warning, other than it’s chronological promise. Yes, if you take care of yourself and your skin you can manage to ward off age and even look ten years younger, but rest assured it is coming. At some point we all wake up one morning look in the mirror and ask ourselves “when did this happen?!? I’m talking about under eye darkness, puffiness, sallowness, fine lines and dehydrated, thinning, skin. This just happened to me this year, like four months ago. And once your eyes start looking old, you need to act fast!

So, what can we do? First things first get a powerful eye cream! Aside from my obvious favorite, Bright Eyes, I do switch it up with a few others.  I am also a big fan over DIY treatments.  My favorite is putting tea bags in water (I usually Rooibos) and then chilling them in the fridge for a few hours.  I sometimes do this in bulk so I always have them on hand.  I then apply them to my eyes and leave them for about 5 minutes. This is best in the AM or right before you apply your makeup. Your eyes will be depuffed and hydrated!

Below are three of my other goto eye creams. More important than which brand you use is that you use something! Under eye skin is so delicate and easy to damage beyond repair.

Kalologie Illuminate Eye Cream

I like this eye cream, although it is heavy so I don’t wear it to bed becasue it irriates my eyes when asleep. See below for the awesome ingredients.

  • Cholesteryl Stearate/Carbonate Complex – Botanical liquid crystals; a potent moisture source for the skin. Replenishes our own liquid crystal content which dissipates with age.
  • Corn Silk Extract – Rich in B vitamins and anti-inflammatory benefits.
  • Spin Trap – Defends against free radical damage.
  • Mulberry Extract – Skin lightening antioxidant

 Natura Bisse Diamond Extreme Eye

Not the cleanest product around but it works! Hydrates and gives luminosity.

  • Diminishes the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles by hydrating the skin.
  • Provides the skin with a revitalized appearance.
  • Eliminates the appearance of fatigued and stressed skin.
  • Diminishes the appearance of under-eye shadows and restores the appearance of luminosity

 Algenist Eye Cream

Also a bit heavy but doesn’t irritate my eyes and I definitely see a difference in fine lines.

  • Alguronic Acid
  • vitamin C
  • caffeine
  • cucumber
  • aloe
  • green tea
