The sound of a baby in the midst of teething, the sleepless nights, and the reaching-for-anything-around-me-for-comfort is something that all moms encounter at some point. That’s why we were so excited to sit down with the one part of the rising stars of Doddle & Co, Nicki Radzely to learn more about how she manages a thriving business and a busy household.

Doddle & Co was created by a vision that things can be easier. All of their tools and tricks we rely on as parents can be approached differently. Soothing babies and parents, our goal has been simple from the start: To bring you products that make the day-to-day realities of parenting easier. That’s right. That’s it. (say hello to some of our favorite pacifiers and teethers on the market!)

Do you have any beauty shortcuts that mom’s need to know about?

Eyelashes and Aquaphor. If you always have eyelashes on, it’s like built-in mascara but better and Aquaphor is always on hand, so add it to your lips and get your day started!

Everyone has that ritual that makes them feel confident and pulled together, what’s yours?

Fragrance. I could be wearing or doing absolutely anything, from a big meeting to a quick grocery shop and fragrance always makes me feel like my best self. I tend to wear Hermès as my daily go-to. But I love Byredo, Gypsy Water too! The list goes on and I use fragrance like a fashion accessory.

Do you have any first-time mom advice?

Everyone always say, “it goes so fast” but my advice would be that when you have a baby, remember that a year from that beautiful day, your baby will most likely be walking, talking and eating on their first birthday, so when people say to enjoy it, just realize that it is impossible not to.

What beauty product can you not live without?

Pore minimizer, a good highlighter and radiant skin by Goldfaden MD!

How do you find balance?

I don’t. I think it’s all a myth. I just find the joy in the imbalance. I laugh almost about everything and I barely take anything so seriously that a joke can’t be made. This is all impossible, so just roll with it.. nothing is or should be so perfect that you can’t find lightness in it.

How do you de-stress?

I clean my house, cook a big meal for my family and I light candles after everyone is to bed. But really my secret is music. It’s my medicine. All of this in one day and you pretty much have a rebuilt, re-invigorated, Nicki.

After months of frigid temperatures, dry and cold air, spring is finally on the horizon and warmer, balmy weather is starting to sprinkle in. Winter has left the building (well, almost), taking with it our dreary moods and dry, itchy skin. And while we’ve spent the first part of 2019 layering on anything and everything that can provide hydration, the warmer air, and increased humidity mean our skin is about to be in for a shock. How, then, to prep the face for sunnier days ahead? We sat down with Dr. G to get the 411 on how to transition successfully into the dog days of Summer ahead.

Why does skin need renewed attention come spring?

As Springtime temperatures vary between warm and cold both inside and outdoors, skin can be particularly challenged this time of year by dehydration, lackluster-looking skin, and breakouts. Spring also makes way for sunnier and warmer skies, which can increase sun damage, hyperpigmentation, and congested/polluted skin.

Any tips on how to wake up skin for spring?

Exfoliate: Cold temperatures and less exfoliation can leave a thick layer of dead skin cells and built up oil post-winter months. Exfoliation whether physical or enzymatic is the best way to jump-start your spring regimen, rid your skin of any excess dry and flaky skin and achieve that  dewy fresh glowing skin.”

Any ingredients we should be looking out for in particular?

“Lighten up and swap out heavy creams for lighter, oil-free moisturizer or serums Look for immune boosting and hydrating ingredients like Vitamin D and Hyaluronic Acid. Hyaluronic Acid is a miracle ingredient to use this time of year because it binds and locks in moisture to prevent dehydration while being lightweight (has been proven to hold up to 100 x the weight of water). Vitamin D delivers immunity without having to get it from the Sun.”

Pack on the antioxidants: Load up on power-packed anti-oxidant rich serums to protect skin from free radical damage and pre-mature aging. Look for Vitamin C, Organic Red Tea, Ferulic acid and resveratrol-rich ingredients.”

How often should we change up our skincare routine?

“There is no rule about when or even if you must switch up your regimen. If your products are working and you are seeing results, there is no reason to change. However, be smart about the climate you live in as this can indicate the need for more hydration and or less aggressive products. “

We sat down with two mamas’s that we admire the most – Natalie Gee Robinson and Rachel Robinson to find out how these two powerhouse women juggle work, life and being parents to twin boy toddlers and a four-month-old baby girl.

Natalie Gee Robinson is co-founder of one of our go-to beauty emporiums Gee Beauty, Natalie believes in using beauty as a form of self expression. “Most people don’t wear the same designer every day, so it should be the same for their beauty routine. I love to show clients how to transform from the gym – yes, there are fitness-friendly faces – to work to nighttime. In addition to perfecting our signature Gee Beauty Brow, some of the tips i like to share are creating a quick and effective skin-care regimen, fresh and glowing skin, and a fun or dramatic eye look.”

Rachel’s approach to fitness is not only about changing the body, but really changing the way you feel inside. She focuses more on the internal feeling & sense of accomplishment – rather than on the body, even though that of course follows when people commit to a healthier lifestyle.

Find out how they multitask, find balance and make it all work even with a busy household.

Do you have any beauty shortcuts that mom’s need to know about? Everything for us must multitask, because sometimes we literally have 5 min each to get dressed and be ready! We love Dry Shampoo, a good Hydrating Mask that we can double as a night cream, and a really gentle body wash that we can use for us and the kids!

Everyone has that ritual that makes them feel confident and pulled together, what’s yours? Our bathroom is such a sanctuary, while small and cozy, it’s where we all take the best baths! Bath time for our kids is something we never miss, and so for us, taking a few moments to get in the bath really helps us feel refreshed. We love bath salts, and whether we have 5 or 15minutes, we make sure to allow one another to have these moments!

Do you have any first-time mom advice? We are with you! Half the time as a new mom, you are winging it, so stick to your instinct even when you think you don’t know, you do. We really found talking to other moms is always so helpful.

What beauty product can you not live without? Goldfaden Bright Eyes! Talk about a product that gives your skin so much hydration and de puffs at the same time is a win for us!

How do you find balance? Balance is really about taking any moments you have to yourself and enjoying the time to value it.

How do you de-stress? We talk a lot to each other and how we communicate means everything for our peace of mind. By talking through our stressful moments, and taking the time to listen, we have found is the key to really de stressing. Also a glass of wine and a hot bath, can certainly solve a lot too!
